For this redesign, I reimagined The Wizard of Oz book cover to capture the story's central theme: the lengths characters will go to achieve their dreams. From facing dangerous lands to confronting the Wicked Witch, I wanted the design to reflect their journey and ultimate goals. To highlight this, I incorporated the question, “How far would you travel for…?” evoking this sense of adventure and determination.
Inspired by Dorothy’s three heel clicks, I repeated each character’s goal three times. For the color scheme, I chose a green dust jacket with a white book underneath. The green represents the illusion of the Emerald City, where the Wizard tricks everyone into thinking everything is green through special glasses. The white underneath reveals the truth, connecting to the theme of illusion versus reality.
